Absolutely — and I actually recommend it. A friendly face helps you relax. Yes, everyone feels a bit apprehensive at first (you’re not wrong… you are in your pants).

But honestly, about 15 minutes in, the nerves disappear and we’re chatting away like old friends — usually about what’s for dinner.

Great question. Everyone’s different, which is the fun bit. NOT all black! your images will look the same, a little colour is welcome. Bring one light set, one dark set, and maybe your other half’s shirt and a jacket or oversized jumper. Heels? Definitely bring them. Don’t worry — you won’t be doing laps of the studio....props... they can come in handy too!

VERY...The studio is based privately behind my home and is strictly by appointment only, so you won’t have unexpected visitors or people walking in during your session. It’s designed to be relaxed, comfortable and completely private.

When it comes to the style of images, you are always in control. In the photography world we often refer to this as the “level” of the shoot — from cosy oversized jumpers and implied shots, right through to more daring images if that’s your style.

There is never any pressure to do anything you’re not comfortable with. Most clients naturally become more confident as the session goes on, but everything is guided entirely by you.

Your images are for your eyes only and are uploaded to a secure online gallery protected with a private password. Your photos are never shared or used online, in advertising, or within my portfolio without your full permission. Occasionally I offer discounted model-call sessions for clients who are happy for me to use a small selection of images for portfolio purposes, but this is always completely optional and agreed in advance.

We used to offer hair and makeup, but we found most people preferred using their own trusted hairdresser or stylist. Trying to coordinate everyone in one place at the same time also became a bit of a juggling act! These days, clients usually arrange their own hair and makeup with whoever they feel most comfortable with, which tends to work really well and helps you feel more like you on the day.

If it helps, I’m always happy to recommend some great local people too.

Not immediately. I need a few days to work my magic — refining tones, cropping, and making everything look perfect. Retouching is available too if you’d like it, no extra cost!

Your images will be ready to view via a secure online gallery around 5–6 days later. No awkward sales chat, no pressure. Most people grab a glass of wine and look through them with a trusted mate (they’re brutally honest)..

Life happens, kids get ill the dog eats something it shouldn’t. While booking fees are non-refundable (boring but necessary bit), I’m always happy to help. If you give me notice, I can move your session to another weekend or issue a credit to use towards a future shoot.
